Planning Team/ Interim Steering Committee

The members of the Planning Team were named at the community gathering on May 12, 2010, at the South Bay Islamic Association. The Team was charged to ” draft a proposal for a multi-faith organization in Santa Clara County, and to bring the proposal to the larger group within the next few months.” They met regularly throughout the summer, and presented their proposal to the community gathering on September 28, 2010, at Temple Emanu-El.

At that meeting, it was agreed that the members of the Planning Team would become the Interim Steering Committee to oversee the continuing development of the Silicon Valley Interreligious Council, or “SiVIC.”

In addition to the starred Board members above, the Planning Team/ Steering Committee included Rev. Nancy Palmer Jones (Unitarian), pastor of First Unitarian Church of San Jose.
